We always love O Crab. The food is good, the service is excellent, and the beer is cold. This is fantastic place to grab a quick dinner because they usually have a table ready. The interior is always clean and neat! That means a lot to us.
The service is amazing and so is the food. Been to this restaurant a couple of times now and everything has been great. Very soothing atmosphere too. I'm surprised this place isn't always busy.
We have been wanting to check this place out for quite some time now and decide4d to come on a Sunday for lunch. As you enter further in the restaurant, it has a pretty large space. Nice decors and I love the ambiance feel to it. At the back, there is also a bar which is pretty cool! We ordered the hush puppies for appetizers and ordered the "O Crab Catch" with the O crab special blend sauce in spicy and of course, a side of steamed rice! It came with 1 whole Dungeness crab, and we chose shrimp with head on and clams. This portion was definitely a good size for 2 people. We even had left overs to bring back home. I was pretty impressed that the seafood was fresh and tasty! I don't know why it had bad reviews but I guess you have to try it for yourself and definitely know your seafood. Sauce was very tasty! Interesting how they don't cook the seafood with the sauce and it came with so little sauce. We had to ask for extra sauce. Nonetheless, it was still pretty yummy! Service could've been better as we were the only one she was serving at the time. We got our main dish and I was still waiting for some lemons. This still didn't ruin the experience of the food. Overall, this is a place I can come back to. Now I have a few spots to check out when I want some seafood boil. Hopefully next time, we will get our seafood drenched in that yummy sauce!
Visiting the Mom, she kept raving about O'Crab and wanted to take me there. Not one to argue against seafood, even in landlocked Idaho, we ventured out. O'Crab is at Midland Blvd just north of Interstate 84, an area that is in a constant state of expansion with new businesses. O'Crab is one of those new places that brings an original restaurant into the area. Being as the Mom is 86, we arrived before the crowds in the very late afternoon. Some call it, "eating with the blue hairs". We were greeted immediately upon opening the door and seated in a booth right away with our menus. Scanning the ample menu, it was nice to see that O'Crab is any kind of place you want it to be. They have appetizers and sliders and po'boy sandwiches if you're not looking for a full on dinner. In the mid-range you have a basket with fried seafood and fries. On the higher end you have an option of several kinds of "boils". We started with drinks and an appetizer of hush puppies. I have to say that our waiter, Jeff, was spot on in suggesting the Arnold Palmer for me (iced tea and lemonade) which was mixed perfectly. We both ordered boils, the Mom all scallops, and I took head-off shrimp and scallops. We also got a side of sweet potato fries. When ordering a boil you have decisions to make. First, what seafood? You have to make it a pound at least, but you can combine seafoods too. Second, a sauce or seasoning, then a heat level. Sauces ranged from none to Old Bay, a mild original sauce, garlic butter and a blazing hot option. I went for Old Bay, but Jeff said he would bring me a little side of the original sauce. The Mom went plain. The boils arrive in a heat expanded plastic cover, it reminds me of a helmet from the Mars Attacks! movie. The waiter tosses your boil around, which includes two potatoes and a mini ear of corn. Jeff tossed ours, opened the bag and steam escaped into the air, so did the aroma. Heavenly. The seafood was fresh, the hush puppies were crisp and perfectly seasoned, the sweet potatoes fries are waffle style and excellent. Nothing to complain about here at all. It was an excellent experience, and it was almost as much fun to watch other people get their food as it is to get yours. Head on over, and ask for Jeff.
